Our snow and ice management services encompass the clearing of snow and ice from motor vehicle and pedestrian traffic paths. The snow and ice management service levels available are based on the precipitation accumulation amounts outlined below.

Trace level: when any type of potentially hazardous weather begins, services from the contractor will begin with chemical or mechanical removal of the snow and/or ice accumulation until the snow or ice event has ceased.

Incremental trigger depth levels by inches of accumulation: the most common trigger depths are 0.5″, 1.5″ and 2.0″, but they can be customized to fit the needs of the client. Usually when a trigger depth is chosen, clearing operations do not begin until the accumulation has ceased. In the event of a major snow fall (more than 4″ of accumulation), clearing operations will begin at the four-inch accumulation level. Clearing major traffic paths will be done to the best of the contractor’s ability. Snow and ice management will also include full-width plowing to be done upon cessation of accumulating snow or when the contractor deems it necessary in order to keep up with accumulations in a timely manner.
